Your NovaSpot can provide built in Voice Service
Every NovaSpot router now includes VOIP service, which allows you to contact staff members anywhere in your wireless range using any wireless VOIP phone. Devices such as the Engenius SI-683h (show at left) provide staff members and customers with the ability to communicate with each other and with the outside world. These devices work in areas where cell phone is limited or unavailable. NovaSpot Voice Service, unlike cellular service, incurs no per minute charges for calls from one of your units to another. Also, since these calls are not routed through any public telephone service, your calls are private.Typical Applications
A golf course owner wants to keep in touch with grounds and staff members, who may be anywhere on the course. With NovaSpot voice service, the central office can dial the wireless extensions of any employee.
When important customers want to be advised of urgent messages, they can be rented or loaned a wireless phone.
A hospital has wireless internet service for patients and families. Now, with NovaSpot voce service, they have equipped all doctors and nurses and other staff with wireless phone units. Also nursing stations are equipped with desktop wireless phones. Now, anyone can be reached instantly; and, since the call is private, the conversation cannot be listened in to by other staff members.
A new motel offers NovaSpot service for guests, and avoids the expense of telephone wiring to every room by issuing wireless phones to guests when they check in. Not only can they receive and place calls from their room, but also from any location in the motel (swimming pool, exercise room, etc.)
Outside Calls
If programmed to allow it, each NovaSpot Voice Handset can make calls out to the regular phone service, and can reach any phone number in the world. NovaSpots will impose a small per minute charge for these calls, typically $.017 for calls inside the US and Canada.
